free online strategy card game, tower defense, no ads
A free online strategy card game, played solo against the computer: color defense. Your tower is at the bottom, the Greys' grey tower is at the top, and two lanes join them. Paint fills up on its own; you hold 4 cards from a deck of 8 and drag each card onto a lane to deploy a color unit: tank, fast, ranged, splash, healer, spawner or spell. Red beats green, green beats blue, blue beats red: play the color that beats theirs. A free online tower defense game in 2 to 3 minutes, with the four Color Guesser plush friends as heroes, a 20-level campaign and a daily duel. Ages 8 to 80, no ads, no account.
how to play
- Wait for paint to fill up, then drag a card from your hand onto one of the two lanes, in your half of the arena: the unit walks on its own toward the grey tower.
- Watch the Greys' color and answer with the one that beats it: red beats green, green beats blue, blue beats red. Each card's sign (triangle, circle, square) reminds you.
- Topple the grey tower before the 2 minutes are up, or keep more tower than them. If the towers are almost even, 30 seconds of overtime decide it.
tips and tricks
- Watch the color coming at you and answer with the one that beats it: a blue unit against a red one does the job of a pricier card.
- Don't spend all your paint at once: keep enough to defend; a cheap card at the right moment beats a big one too late.
- To attack, deploy a tank first, then ranged units right behind it: the tank takes the hits while they shoot.
- Save the splash for a group of three units or more, or to finish off a grey tower that's almost down.
- Defend near your tower, it shoots too; then send the survivors up the same lane to counter-attack.
questions
What is color defense?
A strategy card game played in your browser, free and ad-free. You defend your tower and attack the Greys' tower by deploying color units on two lanes. A match lasts 2 to 3 minutes, against the computer: no human opponent, no account, no purchases.
Can I play if I'm color blind?
Yes. Each color has a sign on the cards and on the units: a triangle for red, a circle for green, a square for blue, a star for gold. Units also wear a pattern (stripes, dots, waves), and a small badge shows who beats whom on every strong hit. The 123 button makes these signs bigger in a match.
How do I win?
Topple the grey tower, or have more tower left than them after 2 minutes. In the last half minute, paint fills twice as fast. If both towers are almost even, 30 seconds of overtime break the tie, then the sturdier tower wins.
What is the daily duel?
Every day, everyone plays the same duel: the same deck for you, the same deck for the Greys, the same draw. The match replays exactly the same with the same moves. Your first game counts toward the shared daily streak, and you can share your result without spoilers.
How do I unlock cards?
By playing: winning certain campaign levels adds a card to your collection, and the medium and hard difficulties open up as you go. Nothing is for sale. Your progress stays on this device, in your browser.
