the game.

A character, a logo or a flag shows up without its color. You have 20 seconds to find the exact shade in one big color square, then the card splits in two to compare your color with the real one. There is a daily challenge, the same for everyone, duels with friends and world leaderboards.

who makes it.

Color Guesser is made by an independent creator in France, in their spare time. No studio, no investors, no ad network.

why it is free.

It is a personal, non-commercial project, made for the fun of playing and learning. There are no ads, no purchases, no data resale, and no plans to make money from it. Logos and characters belong to their owners: the game has no link with them, one more reason to sell nothing.

how the colors are checked.

The color to find is the shade of the drawing used in the game, taken from the image: it is not always the official color of the brand, club or country.

Your pick is compared with that shade using the CIEDE2000 formula (ΔE 2000), the one that best mimics the human eye: up to 100% per round. At the end of a game, the server redoes the math from the colors you picked before any score counts on the leaderboard.

On the color code pages, when a brand, club or country publishes a reliable value, it is shown next to the game's shade, with its source and the ΔE 2000 gap.

beyond the game.

Color Guesser also offers 10 free color games, from color sort to color sudoku, and 50 exact color code pages (HEX, RGB, HSL, CMYK), from Coca-Cola to the flag of Brazil.

Games also feed anonymous statistics on the most missed colors, published once 1,000 rounds are in.
